Chapter 565: Faces Speak as Loudly as Actions

Author's Preface

Revived!

Brachydios is revived!! Brachydios is revived!! Brachydios is revived!! [*1]

I wanna huuuunt〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜......

With Sasahara-shi in the frame, the camera turned toward the players who were just waking up. Some looked frustrated, some looked somewhat refreshed, some yelled, "I got shot down without even getting to do anything properly!" while keenly aware of the camera... and amidst them all, a petite girl stood up with a thoroughly satisfied smile.

『Ah! By any chance, are you the one who piloted the victorious crimson Nephilim?』

She went for it!! Sasahara-shi went for it!! Sasahara-shi isn't to blame at all, but even Pencilgon's lips are twitching!!

『Umm......... yes.』

『That was a truly wonderful battle! Nephilim Hollow 2 is a sequel as the name suggests, but... perhaps there's no need to ask...?』

『......Yes, I have been playing the first game extensively. It is a title I have very strong feelings for, so I was truly surprised when the sequel was announced.』

Sunraku: That girl talks really fast when it comes to NephHolo.

Pencil Knight King: Rust-chan.........

『How do you feel after playing it? I've heard that Nephilim Hollow 2 has many technical differences compared to its predecessor...』

Ah, Sasahara-shi, that's a landmine.

『Let's see, first of all regarding the operability I felt it has become significantly more forgiving. The previous game was set up with the premise of moving all five senses and your entire body so the control difficulty was inevitably high but in this installment the controls have been massively simplified including thought-reflection. Building on that you can optionally select the previous game's control style so it's easy for veterans of the first game to get into it. From a user interface perspective I think it's a brilliant decision that accommodates both newcomers and experienced players. The fact that there isn't that much of a gap between the new control method and the original one is definitely a high point. Regarding combat, perhaps it was adjusted for the demo play, but I felt the HP was a bit on the lower side. If I recall correctly, the damage taken multiplier when fully stripped down to the frame state was supposed to be 2x, so considering the launcher's firepower and the lightweight frame's damage, I thought it was more fragile than back in 1. That being said, regarding raw speed, the improved operability ironically made it somewhat harder to control which led to the combat taking on a slower tempo overall, so that lightweight unit's movements were quite spectacular and......』

「( ´゜д゜`)」

"Th-This is........."

Ahhhh......... I instinctively closed my eyes and put a hand to my forehead. Rust......... you are not calm right now......... You're on national broadcasting, Rust......... I might not be in any position to say this considering I had a scene of me downing an energy drink broadcasted to the whole world......... but can the future Rust accept the fact that her "talking really fast when it comes to NephHolo" tendency was broadcasted in real-time.........

Pencil Knight King: Wouldn't we get a funnier reaction if we fired a message over to Mold-kun instead?

Sunraku: Gotta invite him to the group.

Pencil Knight King: Gotta change the group name first.

【The group name was changed to "Broadcasting Live From The Scene"】

【Sunraku invited Mold】

Mold: Eh, what's this

Sunraku: Ah〜, well, you know.

Mold: Eh?

Pencil Knight King: She's talking, really fast, isn't she.........

Mold: Eah

『Nfuh......... ngh』

"Fukuku."

"Is, something the matter?"

"N-No......... just a little, nah........."

"???"

Does Sasahara-shi have some sort of special effect against Rust and Mold? Either they tried to capture a comedic shot of the fast-talking girl fading out, or maybe they just realized they couldn't keep the camera on Rust forever, but the slowly panning camera is now showing a guy with a huge bodyheight panicking with a mobile device in one hand... Honestly, I'm starting to feel a bit guilty.

Pencil Knight King: Sad news.

Sunraku: Sad news.

Mold: Eh?

Sunraku: You're on screen too.

Pencil Knight King: "Fast-Talking Girl" is trending on SNS.

『Enfuh!!』

"Fubufoh!!"

『Wait, Amane-san?』

"Ra-Rakuro-kun!?"

Guh, there's no way they'd think Pencil and I were laughing at something entirely different...!! Uwa, it's true, it's racking up hits at an insane rate! A-At least there are a lot of positive comments...... um, good for you......... Katzo, on the other hand, had a landmine from the demon realm go off on him. The fact that him doing an ego-search comes with actual mental hazards is just too funny.

"N-No......... I'm fine...... I'm fine........."

『I-It's nothing...... nothing at all......』

『I-I see......』

Tch, she managed to play it off smoothly, that fiendish stationery.

"S-She's seriously talking a lot........."

"The fact that she isn't straying from the question makes it even more......"

Well, it's her impressions from playing, so mentioning actual numerical values can't be helped, HAHAHA......... Yeah, right.

Another five minutes later.

After a confusing sequence where it wasn't clear who the interviewer was anymore because Rust started talking to the other participants on her own accord, the whole thing finally landed on all the participants jointly promoting Nephilim Hollow 2. The video ended with Rust smiling—a monumental achievement that will probably remain on video sites for all eternity.........

"That was an incredible smile......"

"Or rather, Rust-san basically made her avatar with her exact face......"

Now that she mentions it, it's true. Since the resolutiongraphics here are literally realityreal life, if you look closely, you realize she just changed the color of her skin, eyes, and other key points. The structural composition of Rust (IRL)'s face is almost identical to Rust (ShanFro)'s... and Rust (NephHolo)'s face. Is it really okay to learn the real-life information of my gaming friends in a way like this......?

Pencil Knight King: Then let's invite Rust-chan too〜

Sunraku: Yay!

Mold: Y-You fiend.........

【Pencil Knight King invited Rust】

Rust: So this is the reason Mold was acting suspiciously earlier?

Mold: Yeah.........

Pencil Knight King: Man〜, you were really talking up a storm there, Rust-chan.

Sunraku: Weren't you way too excited?

Rust: ...............

Rust: Deducing from the group name.

Pencil Knight King: Eh?

Sunraku: Hm?

Rust: You two are here right now.

Rust: By any chance, is the real Towa Amane here?

【Pencil Knight King invited Psyger-0】

Pencil Knight King: Actually, Sunraku-kun is right in front of me and Psyger-0-san.

Sunraku: Oi, what the hell!!!

Psyger-0: !?

Pencil Knight King: Looking two steps ahead to self-destruct!!

Mold: She self-destructed on her own and caught us in the blast on her own.........

Rust: I've always been indebted to Towa Amane's fashion magazines. I figure as long as I buy the same things, I can't go wrong.

Rust: Also, use Towa Amane's name-power to promote NephHolo 2.

Rust: Do it right now.

Pencil Knight King: You're kidding, isn't she way too strong.........?

Sunraku: I just got hit with a sudden Full Counter.

Rust: I've been thinking about this for a while, but was "No Face" at GGC Sunraku?

Sunraku: Wait.

Psyger-0: Eh.

Sunraku: Wait a sec.

Pencil Knight King: Wait a minute my smile is about to freeze this is bad.

Rust: Your habits when transitioning to an attack were similar, and your energy level was the same.

Psyger-0: Why do you know his habits?

Sunraku: Oi wait, stop the camera!

Mold: Rust has an evil smile on her face......

Psyger-0: Why do you know his habits?

Rust: You wanna do an offline meetup?

Pencil Knight King: I, of all people, am being pushed back...!?

Mold: I apologize for our Rust......
