Chapter 773: Two Kings War
◇
Due to its origins, the flag representing the Einwurf Kingdom depicts fifteen swords.
Therefore, this war will likely be passed down to future generations as an unprecedented civil war where, with the exception of Fifticia which declared neutrality, each of those swords was pledged to either Torvante or Alex.
I write this record of the conflict known as the Two Kings War for those in the future who will look back upon the past.

The Two Kings War. It is said that its catalyst was Einwurf's survey of the New Continent and the subsequent encounter with "Demi-humans" whose appearances were utterly different from our own.
How should they be dealt with? A mere scribe such as myself cannot possibly fathom what transpired within the royal family, but to state the conclusion, King Torvante was sent to the New Continent by the First Prince Alex in a manner nearly akin to banishment.
Under the direction of Alex, who had newly become King, an order was issued to Fillionote Fifticia, the lord of Fifticia, to construct a massive warship for the "conquest" of the New Continent...... And astonishingly, Fifticia refused.
Fifticia had remained loyal to the royal family ever since the era of the first Fifticia, the kingmaker of the dawn who supported the first Einwurf during the turbulent times of the Kingdom's genesis. Records state that upon witnessing this rebellion, even Alex, who had usurped the royal authority through violent means, muttered "Why?". That is how shocking the fact that Fifticia voiced their denial truly was.
Why did Fifticia reject the new King Alex's orders?
It is speculated that the reason lay in the existence of an innovative vessel developed shortly before this war erupted: the "Seafaring Ship."
Unlike conventional survey ships, it was a small vessel capable of carrying at most twenty to thirty people, yet it was a magnificent invention that enabled solo intercontinental navigation.
Fifticia, understanding its utility, had likely already reached the conclusion that mass-producing Seafaring Ships was vastly superior to constructing an ultra-massive warship.
Above all.
The Seafaring Ships are for those who arrive with the wind and leave with the wind. For them, seekers of the unknown, these Seafaring Ships were nothing short of gospel. Fifticia, the gateway to new journeys, hosted a massive number of Pioneers. I hear some Pioneers even wield the hammer themselves in an attempt to build their own ships. There was no way they would agree to halt the production of Seafaring Ships to support the construction of a massive warship that would require years to complete.
Therefore, Fifticia had no choice but to reply with a denial. Every Pioneer is a fierce warrior and a capable magician. If they were to run rampant through sheer violence, Fifticia would be forced to halt its functions entirely.
A tiny crack, yet far too large to ignore, had formed within the Einwurf Kingdom. Rushing down a hasty path to grasp the glorious Fifteen-Sword Crown of Einwurf, the ground beneath Alex's feet was exceedingly unstable.
As the footsteps of the end approached the honeymoon period between Fifticia and the royal capital Nineshill...... an incident occurred that quite literally widened that slight crack into the total division of the Kingdom.
The return of the Former King Torvante. And the "rout" of the Third Knight Order.

To all those reading this, are you familiar with the term "coverage"? In short, it refers to exactly what you are reading now, but simply put, it's an article recording a famous match in a play-by-play commentary format.
This Kingdom Turmoil event was the largest PvP event in the history of Shangri-La Frontier.
The conflict between two kings: the New King Alex and the Former King Torvante. Players gathered under either faction and fought through a "war" governed by rules akin to a massive territory-control game.
And wherever there is battle, legendary matches are born. Among the players, myself included, a certain desire began to take root......... Just as the ancients in our real world carved their myths into stone tablets. In this cyber world, we too wished to record the grand deeds of those who soared through the winds of the Kingdom Turmoil.
And that is precisely what this coverage is.
The "Thirdrema Mech-Steel Battle," the "Exploding Mountain Subjugation Squad," the "Undead Army Clash," the "Nineshill Revolution"...... Among the many legendary matches that erupted across the Kingdom, the one I, "Garlic Toast," will document today is...... the terrifying blockade executed by the man who holds the title of the fastest player.
An astonishing display of unrivaled power by the player "Sunraku" that engulfed the Canyon of Ancient Souls—a place normally shrouded in the cold miasma of the undead—in a feverish heat of excitement, and above all...... a duel that will go down in the history of ShanFro against that famous streamer "Garunose," whom many reading this coverage surely know. ...a legendary clash that even caused some players (namely myself) to declare, "Being able to witness this was far luckier than playing an active role in the Two Kings War"...... That name......
The "Twin Dragon Duel" is what I wish to write about.

Author's Afterword
I wrote this out of the thought that coverage articles are really nice, but honestly, people who can actually write those are amazing.
