Chapter 476: The God Does Not Roll Dice, But Wields a Brush to Color the World

Author's Preface

And so, another shot before we hit the irregular schedule.

"............"

Inside a room entirely devoid of anyone but herself, the woman glared at the "result" displayed on her mobile terminal...

"Tsk!"

Giving in to her anger, she slammed the mobile terminal against the floor. However, due to its highly shock-resistant design and the woman's sheer lack of physical strength, the mobile terminal didn't so much as crack, continuously displaying the exact same unwavering result on its screen.

"...Wrong, this is wrong, the scenario is wrong."

The defeat of Siegwurm, she had anticipated this.
The conclusion of the Color Dragons was an unexpected outcome, but it was still acceptable.

But, but,

"Noirlind's affection value has been judged as entirely positive......... he's become an ally of humanity."

This alone she found absolutely unacceptable. In the "scenario" envisioned by the woman... the woman who had created the world of Shangri-La Frontier... Noirlind was supposed to have either been struck down by Siegwurm, or he was supposed to have defeated Siegwurm and reigned supreme as the new "King".
But what in the world was this? Factoring in the Black Dragon's specs, she could understand him shrinking down to the size of a large dog, but his parameters were the exact polar opposite of hostility.

".........So it was this one."

It was a name not found on the "Blacklist" created by a certain somewhat capable—though still inferior to herself—woman, but there was a connection.
Operating her mobile terminal, she connected to the server. Searching through the information of a certain player all the way down into the murky grey borderline-black territories of his data, the woman did not relax her harsh glare.

This was exactly why she loathed letting a rabble of nobodies set foot in that world; what should she do about him? She could just wipe his data entirely......... Reaching that point in her thoughts, the woman wiped that dark emotion from her expression in a single instant, booting up an outdated-looking PC and beginning to research something.

".........Yes, yes. Ufu, ufufufufu...... ahh, I knew it, Grandfather truly is amazing. Ufufufufu...!!"

This is fine, the woman smiled. If it exists within the "scenario," then there is no need to hand down divine punishment; thinking about it, she had only lost her composure slightly because the development wasn't found in the story told to her on that day.

"I'm certainly not like that idiot woman..."

She wouldn't do something like give in to anger and erase data; playing the fool and completely forgetting that she had been seriously considering doing exactly that just moments ago, the woman operated her mobile terminal.

"I wonder if she, too, can serve as 'Tsukuyomaru'? Well whatever, more importantly..."

With the defeat of Siegwurm, Shangri-La Frontier had reached the next stage. As far as the woman was concerned, from here on out was the real deal, and while she wasn't without her dissatisfactions regarding the fact that they had reached this point in a mere two years, it was still within an acceptable margin of error... supposedly.

"As expected, this guy is the bottleneck..."

His appearance was first confirmed around the summer. But the fact that he had cleared three Unique Scenarios EX in the three short months since then was nothing less than abnormal.

"...Countermeasures are necessary, I suppose."

Merely stopping his movements with high-difficulty obstacles would be a foolish plan; rather than clumsily restraining a player who had triggered six out of the seven Unique Scenarios EX excluding Orchestra, she ought to make him take a "detour".

"The Avenger... the Vysache Scenario... the Bahamut Dungeon..."

Thin, white fingers operated the AR console of the mobile terminal connected to her PC at high speed. Information was extracted from the dizzyingly shifting data, and a Sub-Story manually crafted by the very God of Genesis of Shangri-La Frontier began to take shape.

"Ah, since he defeated Siegwurm, maybe forcing a detour related to Bilac would be good? Setting the required materials at the western edge of the continent... no, that won't do. I want to minimize the chances of him running into Goldunine. If so... no, maybe I should do the exact opposite? I should intentionally force him to get involved with Unique Monsters instead......... yes, that's a brilliant idea."

For better or worse, this player had also successfully established contact with the Conquista Dolls. If that was the case, she could tinker with the difficulty of the Leviathan to buy some time while...

"Fufu, fufufufufu......... fine, if I'm going to do this, I might as well be thorough. Orchestra, cross-reference the past logs of the player named 'Sunraku' and commence monitoring and observation effective immediately, increase the precision of the 'Orchestra Program'."

Voice authentication; receiving a simple reply of acknowledgment displayed on the monitor in response to the words she sent, the woman's smile deepened even further.

"I might as well modify the other Raid Monsters while I'm at it. It somehow irritates me that the Great Crimson Clad was defeated by a mere three people, even if elves and a rare monster were involved."

That game-addict idiot is far too cautious, always whining about balance this and balance that. Raid Monsters are calamities that completely annihilated prehistoric civilization; being defeated on the very first encounter is something that must absolutely never be allowed to happen. Even assuming such an outcome, a much greater sacrifice should have been paid.

"It'll be annoying if anyone finds out, so I'll conceal the program and... right, for now I'll multiply their health by 1.5 and make the AI more aggressive..."

She had completely forgotten about the player from earlier. The brain of the woman... Tsukuyo Tsukuri... was entirely consumed by thoughts of making the game more faithful to "Shangri-La Frontier."

"Grandfather, Grandfather... I will make your, my, our 'world' into something even more magnificent. Fufufu, ahahahahaha...!!"

A fact still unknown to anyone; the brush wielded by God was rewriting the world itself into something even more brutal...
